The 3 Building Blocks to Greatness

Posted on November 07 2015

Besides clothing the world in high-quality, remarkably comfortable Greatness Apparel, we are also passionate about equipping you with some guidance and resources to help maximize your life.

First, let's make one clear distinction.  Greatness does NOT equal perfection and Greatness does NOT equal arrogance or ego.  Some may even refer to 'Greatness' as 'mastery'.  Mediocrity is the opposition.  To us, Greatness is the relentless pursuit towards hitting the highest levels you ever thought were possible; discovering your REAL capabilities.  It means you are tired of treading water and rolling right along with the status quo.  The best part is, going after your Greatness is only a decision.

That said, you may already be excelling at the highest levels in some areas of your life right now and for that we applaud you!  Be an inspiration or mentor for others in that space.  However, the fun never stops and there are most likely other areas of your life with plenty of room for growth and achievement; whether that be in your relationships, your contribution, financially, spiritually, physically, emotionally, or perhaps in your career.  The list could go on-and-on.

Here are the 3 building blocks to Greatness you can apply to your life right now:

1. You must be LASER-FOCUSED on a clear objective or goal.  Write down WHAT it is you want and WHY you want it.  Spend some time on this so you are 100% certain that this is what you want.  You must have a crystal clear picture of what you are going to be focused on each day.  Without doing this, you'll never fully know if you've veered off the line or not.

2. Access the best tools, resources, and most important of all, the RIGHT PEOPLE that already have what you want in that particular area you're seeking Greatness.
Along the way, you'll come to understand everyone has an opinion.  Everyone wants to talk about 'haters' and 'dream-stealers', but even well-meaning people in your life that care about you deeply will have opinions at every turn.  Just remember to never take advice from someone who doesn't have what you want.  For example, you don't take weight-loss advice from someone who obviously needs to do something about their own weight and you don't take career advice from someone who has never been able to hold down a job, etc.  I think you get the point.
In the pursuit of getting from where you are to where you want to be, make it a point to surround yourself with the thinking that out-thinks you.  At a minimum, even by association you will learn some powerful lessons that you can apply.

Every day move yourself to do something that makes you better and gets you closer to your goal.  Procrastination won't serve you; it never does.  Nobody can do your push-ups for you.  You have to do the work yourself.  It takes effort to be Great, but in the end, you'll find it's worth it!

Feel free to share your goals with us and let us know how you're maximizing new areas of your life to be Great!
